A five-ingredient pasta that uses walnut oil's toasted flavor in place of brown butter.

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 oz pasta
  • 3 tbsp Balsam Walnut Oil
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • Black pepper
  • Chopped walnuts and parsley, for topping

METHOD

  1. Cook the pasta and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Toss the hot pasta with walnut oil, parmesan, and a splash of pasta water until glossy.
  3. Top with black pepper, chopped walnuts, and parsley.

Add the walnut oil off the heat, tossed through the hot pasta rather than cooked in a pan — it keeps the nutty flavor intact.
