Classic basil pesto made with already-roasted pine nuts — no extra toasting step needed.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups fresh basil
- 1/3 cup Balsam Roasted Pine Nuts
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
METHOD
- Blend the basil, pine nuts, parmesan, and garlic together.
- Stream in the olive oil while blending until smooth.
- Season with salt and toss with pasta.
Because these pine nuts are already roasted, you can skip the usual dry-toasting step and go straight to the blender.
