  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and egg, then stir in the flour.
  3. Fold in the chopped halawa.
  4. Spread into a lined 8-inch pan and bake for 22–25 minutes.

Chop the halawa into rough chunks rather than crumbs — you want pockets of it throughout the blondie, not an even mix.
