A warming, fragrant chai built on whole, halal-certified cardamom.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 4 pods Balsam Cardamom, lightly crushed
  • Honey, to taste

METHOD

  1. Simmer the water with the crushed cardamom pods for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the tea bags and milk, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  3. Strain into cups and sweeten with honey.

Crush the pods lightly with the back of a knife before simmering — that's what releases their full floral aroma into the tea.
